Chapter 6

What was the actual purpose of that?

You have had your first interaction with the sacred, meaning that your genuine commitment has been confirmed by The Blue Neon. Truth is, having come this far in exploring the place, the chances of being rejected were low. But this is still a noble step and your eagerness was rewarded.

Everyone possesses the inner qualities to thrive here, as long as one desires to. You did want it and hence accepted the emergence of a new paradigm. You made yours the ability of the poet to absorb all the contradictions and to sublimate them. As of now, you will solely bear the responsibility of your journey, its pace and its outcome.

Speaking of the latter, don’t consider your capacity to look at length at an artwork as the primary purpose, this would be absurd. As I stated before, time is not linear here. Your newly acquired talent to unlock original thinking/looking patterns does constitute the unique judge of your presence.

“It would be nice if places could be built all over the country, little chapels of sorts, where a traveller or a walker could meditate for a long time on a single painting hanging in a small room“ Mark Rothko

Envisage the alteration of your state of consciousness - through looking - as the ultimate destination. You don’t have to be struck though, as generating a complex feeling of awe can take multiple forms. Seeing doesn’t require an immediate response from your body and mind, let yourself be instead.

I reckon you might not adhere to what is revealing before you: a world where art and spirituality are intertwined, you may have all heard that before and perhaps dismissed it. Don’t shy away for what is coming next, as it might pave the way for a mysticism true to you.

Yours Sincerely,

BLUE
